Everything in one place — income, expenses, transfers, and savings activity. Use the filters to focus on a specific type or time window.

Cash and Bank Accounts

Track where your money lives. Add accounts here so every transaction knows where it came from or went to.

Transfers & Debt Payments

Move money between accounts, make a card payment, or pay a loan. Transfers do not count as spending.

Credit Cards

Cards are tracked as debt, not spendable cash. Add a card here, then make payments on the Accounts tab.

Credit Card Payments & Advances

Card payments lower the card balance and reduce your bank balance. Cash advances do the opposite — they raise the card balance and deposit cash.

Your income

Repeat this income every period?

Partner's income

Shared context

Tracked for household context only. It stays out of your personal free-to-spend totals.

Recurring Income Templates

Set up recurring income here so entries are created automatically each period — no re-entering the same paycheck every cycle.

Expenses

Add any expense here. Credit card purchases raise the card balance instead of reducing cash. Shared expenses split by your chosen percentage.

Does this repeat every period?

Recurring Expense Templates

Set up recurring expenses here — subscriptions, rent, school fees — and they will appear automatically each period, ready to confirm or adjust. Monthly, semi-monthly, weekly, and biweekly frequencies are supported.

Category targets and pacing

Set a target for each category to track pace. Green means on track; amber means watch it; red means over. "Copy from last period" fills in targets for categories you haven't set yet — it won't overwrite ones you've already entered.

Savings & Goals

Add a savings goal and allocate money toward it. Progress tracks what you have set aside, not just what is in the account. Monthly contribution is how much you plan to add per calendar month — the app scales it proportionally for shorter pay cycles.

Allocate or Release Savings

Record when you earmark money toward a goal or pull it back. Leave From and To blank to earmark money without moving it. Fill both only when cash is physically moving between accounts.

From To

Debts (loans, mortgages)

Add installment loans and personal debts here. Credit card balances are managed on the Credit Cards tab.

Payoff strategy

Assets

Your bank accounts roll in automatically. Add property, vehicles, or other assets here for a complete picture.

Liabilities

Card balances and debts are pulled in automatically. Add other liabilities here if needed.

Budget setup

Choose whether the active period follows the calendar month or your pay cycle. This affects how all period totals are calculated. Changing your payday or frequency will reset the active view to the current cycle and may affect saved category targets.

Preferences

Adjust how the app looks and feels. These settings do not affect your budget data.

Categories

Add, rename, or remove spending categories. Removing one moves linked history into Other so nothing breaks.

Import rules

Use keyword rules to auto-suggest categories during CSV imports. Rules match transaction descriptions case-insensitively.

Data & backup

Your data is auto-saved in this browser as you work. Download a backup to protect it outside the browser — especially before clearing browser data or switching devices.

Tab order & visibility

Hide sections you don't use. Use ↑ ↓ to reorder. Overview and Settings are always visible and stay at the edges.

Help & Support

The guide explains card balances, safe-to-spend, savings activity, backups, and the “what not to do” items that keep your numbers clean.

Danger zone

These actions are permanent and cannot be undone. Download a backup before proceeding.

Clear transaction history
Removes all transactions and savings activity. Accounts, goals, debts, categories, and settings are kept.
Reset all data
Permanently erases everything — accounts, transactions, goals, debts, cards, settings. Returns the app to its first-run state.
